Smith/Kotzen is the electrifying collaboration between guitarists & vocalists Adrian Smith & Richie Kotzen. Part-time LA neighbours, full time friends with a healthy mutual respect. Both artists are seasoned performers on the global stage, having honed their skills throughout their careers to create their own unique musical sound.

Debut track ‘Taking My Chances’ sets the tone for this brand new partnership between two rock music trail-blazers. Recorded in Turks & Caicos at the start of 2020, the song is evocative of the classic rock bands of the 70’s, brought bang up to date with punchy hooks, harmonies and sheer guitar virtuosity.

Adrian Smith is best known as one of Iron Maiden’s principal guitarists, having also enjoyed success as a solo artist. Richie Kotzen is the frontman for The Winery Dogs as well as having been the guitarist for both Mr Big and Poison during his long and acclaimed career, which has to date seen him release more than 20 solo albums. Both artists are also prolific songwriters.

Adrian comments, “I think Richie and I complement each other really well. He’s a virtuoso guitarist but he’s got a great sense of melody - the whole thing just felt very natural.”

Richie adds, “We found common ground in classic and blues-based rock – we both come from that mentality. We’ve been writing and recording together for the past year and I’m ecstatic with the results”.

As the gloriously heavy and brilliantly catchy ‘Taking My Chances’ shows, rock fans around the globe will be delighted at the first taste of this marriage-made-in-guitar & vocal heaven.

We’d been really looking forward to bringing the show to even more countries and although we’ve been able to reschedule most of our European own-shows for 2021, we thought we’d take a listen to the recordings from the tour so far and see if we could create a definitive live album souvenir that everyone, everywhere could enjoy. I’m very pleased with the results, especially as this set list includes songs which have never made it to a live CD before, such as For The Greater Good Of God, and other older songs like Where Eagles Dare, Flight Of Icarus, The Clansman and Sign Of The Cross which haven’t been included in our live set releases for many years.

We’ve never released a live album from Mexico before and I think this recording does justice to the passion and joy of our Mexican fans who always give us such a fantastic welcome whenever we play there.”

Parlophone Records will issue a very special limited edition 12” vinyl version of Iron Maiden’s iconic self-titled debut album on October 9. The release honours both the 40th anniversary of the album, which came out on April 14, 1980 and reached #4 in the UK charts, and also 2020’s National Album Day, on October 10 - a celebration of the long-player in association with the Entertainment Retailers Association (ERA).

Iron Maiden was the album that saw the East London band start the journey that has led them over the course of four decades, sixteen studio albums, over 90 million album sales and more than 2,000 concerts around the globe, to become the biggest and most acclaimed metal band on the planet.

I hope you and your loved ones are staying safe and well, wherever you may be, and my continued thanks to you all for bearing with us so patiently.

Due to the continuing health issues Worldwide around Covid-19 we regretfully inform you that Iron Maiden will now not be playing any concerts until June 2021.

However, we are now in a position to give you details of our touring plans in respect to those shows we had hoped to play this year.

Firstly, we are very pleased to tell you that we’ve managed to reschedule all our European own-shows on the Legacy Of The Beast tour for June/July 2021 with the exception of Moscow, St Petersburg, Weert and Zurich which unfortunately we have been unable to re-arrange in this period.

To consolidate the tour routing, as you can see, we have added 2 further shows in Arnhem and Antwerp.

We are in the process of inviting back all the Special Guests and supports who were due to play with us this year. Where any band is unable to commit to this due to their own rescheduling situations, we will look at finding other suitable acts of equivalent stature. The majority are already confirmed and can be found here.

Re-arranging the headline Festival dates has unfortunately not been possible. This is mainly because we already had an extremely busy year lined up for 2021 and, as I’m sure you can imagine, a great deal of forward planning has already gone on and there’s only so much we can do within the timeline and logistics already in place. The band enjoy playing at Festivals so please be assured we will get back to as many of these as we can at another time.

In respect of what should have been the opening leg of the 2020 tour starting on May 1 in Perth, Australia and visiting New Zealand, the Philippines, Japan, Dubai and Israel, we are currently working on a possible return to as many of these countries as we can, in some guise, in the first half of 2022, more news on that will follow at the appropriate time.

The band are all fine and send you guys their best wishes, they are very much looking forward to getting back on stage next year and seeing you all so, please, continue to take care of yourselves and stay SMART.

According to Footy Headlines, British heavy metal legends IRON MAIDEN have teamed up with Brazilian brand WA Sport for three soccer shirt designs, based around the covers of the MAIDEN albums "Piece Of Mind" (1983), "Powerslave" (1984) and "Fear Of The Dark" (1992).

Under the agreement, which only covers the Latin market, WA Sport will also produce football shorts, basketball jerseys and shorts, cycling jerseys, UV-protected jerseys, tracksuits, socks, caps, bags and women's fitness (leggings and tops).

Parlophone Records will continue their reissues series of the IRON MAIDEN catalogue with a fifth set of Digipak CD titles in The Live Collection – Remastered, to be released on June 19th. The albums included in this release are the seminal live recordings Live After Death and Rock In Rio.

Live After Death was recorded at Long Beach Arena, California in March 1985 on the band’s legendary year-long World Slavery Tour which started in Poland in August 1984. It comprised 187 shows around the globe and turned Iron Maiden into one of the biggest bands on the planet. The album, which also features additional tracks recorded at London’s Hammersmith Apollo, is widely regarded as one of the greatest live albums of all time.

Rock In Rio was recorded on 19th January 2001, on the final night of Iron Maiden’s Brave New World Tour. The performance was in front of 100,000 fans and was subsequently broadcast globally on TV.

The Live Collection – Remastered follows on from the recent releases of The Studio Collection – Remastered, a four-part series of releases covering their entire sixteen-strong studio album back catalogue. The albums feature the audio taken from the 2015 Mastered for iTunes project and the new collections are the first time these versions are available on CD.

As a bonus for collectors, one CD from each batch of releases is optionally available in a specially artwork designed box featuring a 1:24 scale figurine and exclusive patch. In this fifth batch, this will be Live After Death. Both albums in this set are available for pre-order now.

Adrian got hooked on fishing as a child growing up in East London, plundering ponds and bomb craters on the Hackney Marshes for newts and sticklebacks and catching perch from the Grand Union Canal whilst on outings with his father.

And then things began to get more exotic.

The young angling enthusiast grew up to become lead guitarist in one of the most successful rock bands in history, and started travelling the world playing to millions of fans. But once a fisherman, always a fisherman. The gear went with him, the fish got bigger, the adventures more extreme.

Welcome to the world of Adrian Smith, as he clocks in to his day job furthering the geographical boundaries of hard rock, and clocks off to explore far-flung rivers, seas, waterways, lakes and pools on his fearless quest for fishing nirvana. His first sturgeon was a whopping 100 pounder from Canada’s swirling Fraser River that nearly wiped him out mid-Maiden tour. And how about the close shave with a large shark off the Virgin Islands whilst wading waist-deep for bonefish? Not to mention an enviable list of specimen coarse fish from the UK.

‘Monsters Of River & Rock’ will be released on September 3rd in the UK and Ireland, with more countries to follow. We’re also working on some special editions of the book which we’ll let you know about in due course.

Die With Your Boots On is the name of a unique collaboration between Iron Maiden and West Ham United. Named after the 1983 song of the same name and driven by die-hard West Ham fan and founder member of the band Steve Harris, this partnership brings together two institutions with shared origins in London’s East End.

Harris has been flying the flag for West Ham on stage for decades, with his bass guitar even featuring the club’s iconic logo. His love for the Hammers goes back to 1965, as he recollects, “I went to see West Ham play against Newcastle when I was 9 and my mate was 10. We jumped on a bus and went to the game, and they won 4-3 and that was it. I was hooked!”

Many Maiden fans around the world have embraced Harris’ passion for West Ham and taken up support for the club themselves, often appearing at concerts in Hammers apparel. Steve added, “When I’m up there playing and I see fans in the audience wearing West Ham stuff it gives me goosebumps.”

Tracey Stratton, Licensing Manager at West Ham, was aware of the phenomenon. “One weekend last summer our club shop was inundated with rock fans from all across the globe, and we realised that Iron Maiden were playing two sold out shows at the O2. It makes perfect sense to launch this collaboration, and with Steve’s passion for it and attention to detail it has been amazing.”

Harris is very proud of the tie up with West Ham and was deeply involved in the design process, commenting, “I think it’s brilliant. I really love that version and colour of the crest, and that old classic kind of kit. It’s a modern shape but with a retro design, and I like that. Up the Irons!”

A full home kit will be available to fans around the world, who can now show their love for both institutions with one unique homage to the Irons. Steve launched the kit with West Ham and Argentina defender Pablo Zabaleta, who added, “Iron Maiden are a huge icon back home in South America and it’s great for fans of West Ham and the band to be able to show their support for both!”

IRON MAIDEN will continue their Legacy of the Beast Tour into 2020 heading to Australia, New Zealand, Japan and a first ever visit to The Philippines. This will be followed by shows in Israel and Dubai before circling back into Europe for a final run which will be mainly Festival and headline stadium dates, plus some arena shows, and will include countries and cities not visited on previous legs. So far, the band has played to close to two million fans in 39 countries around the globe since the tour opened in 2018, including headlining to a capacity crowd of 100,000 at the legendary Rock In Rio festival in Brazil.

Bruce Dickinson comments,

“We’re immensely proud of this show and we’ve had great reactions from the many fans who came to see us in Europe earlier this year. The production is based on our mobile game THE LEGACY OF THE BEAST which basically takes various incarnations of Eddie into many different Maiden Worlds. This inspired us to put together a stage show to take our fans through different Worlds and experiences set to appropriate songs. It is not that easy designing different Worlds on stage and we put a huge amount of work into this to make it work and the end result we feel is our most spectacular and certainly the most complex show to date. We’ve got all kinds of crazy things going on, including a replica Spitfire plane dominating the stage during Aces High, tons of pyro, a giant Icarus, muskets, claymores and some truly marvellous flame-throwers which I have a hell of a lot of fun with, as you will see! And of course we have Eddie, as you’ve never seen him before, and absolutely loads of other surprises. I’ve had the time of my life playing with all these magnificent props on stage, it’s been fantastic, we can’t wait to bring this show to you!”

Steve Harris adds,

“We gave a lot of thought to the set list for this Tour as the songs needed to follow the narrative of the changing worlds of the stage show. We feel we ended up with a very strong and well balanced set mixing songs we haven’t played in many years like Flight Of Icarus, Sign Of The Cross and The Clansman with songs we know the fans want to hear like The Trooper, 2 Minutes To Midnight, The Number Of The Beast, Fear Of The Dark, Run To The Hills, Hallowed Be Thy Name and others, reflecting the journey through the different themes of the show. The whole band is really enjoying this tour and we are really looking forward to seeing everybody again!”

The Legacy Of The Beast Tour production and set list were inspired by Maiden’s free to play mobile game of the same name is available on iOS and Android.

For the 2019 shows, IRON MAIDEN will, in conjunction with the Promoters, be implementing a digital ticketing system in as many venues as possible, to assist in our battle against secondary ticketing. As always, we urge fans to only purchase tickets from approved outlets.

Parlophone Records (BMG in the US) will continue their reissues series of the IRON MAIDEN catalogue with The Studio Collection – Remastered, covering the band’s sixteen-strong studio albums across their career to date.

Following on from 2014/2017’s black vinyl releases and 2015’s Mastered for iTunes project, The Studio Collection – Remastered will be released on the Digipak CD format, with the track listing matching the original UK releases. The recordings are taken from the same remasters as the 2015 hi-res digital releases. The albums will be released chronologically in batches of four, across a nine month period superseding the previously available studio catalogue and all titles will also be made available on streaming platforms. As a bonus for collectors, one CD from each batch of releases will also be optionally available in a specially artworked box featuring a 1:24 scale figurine and exclusive patch. In the November 16th batch, this will be The Number Of The Beast.

Maiden founder member and bassist Steve Harris says, “We’ve wanted to revisit these for a long time and I was delighted with the remastering we did in 2015. I thought it was the best that our albums have ever sounded and it was only right that we made them available on CD now too.”

IRON MAIDEN recently completed the first leg of their Legacy Of The Beast tour, playing sold-out stadium, arena and headline festival shows across Europe to over 750,000 fans. The tour, which was hailed by fans and media alike as the must-see show of the summer, will continue into 2019 with a headline show at Brazil’s Rock In Rio festival recently announced and more dates to follow.
