On the 27 of October we will celebrate 4 years since our site went online. Four amazing years thanks to you. We can promise you that this is just the beginning. Of course there is no celebration without a party. So you are welcome on 27.10.2011 at 21:00 in Metal Bar The Black Lodge
Premier, the world's leading manufacturer of drums and percussion, is proud to present 'An evening with Nicko – a night of drums, drumming and entertainment with Iron Maiden's Nicko McBrain'.
Nicko first endorsed Premier back in 1993 choosing the company's Signia kit, mounted upon a custom-built Falicon rack from America. Since then, Premier has supplied Nicko with a number of iconic custom kits to support Maiden's world tours, most recently for 'The Final Frontier World Tour'.
The evening promises entertainment from start to finish, appealing to players of all abilities and ages. Nicko will provide an insight into drumming for one of the world's greatest rock bands, showcasing his technique and driven along by his larger than life personality. He will also be launching a series of Premier products, officially licensed by Iron Maiden and designed in collaboration with Nicko himself including drumsets, snare drums and authentic replicas of his tour kits. More information on this to follow.
Fan-club "IRON MAIDEN BULGARIA" and metal bar and "The Black Lodge" are inviting you to a night dedicated to the solo career of BRUCE DICKINSON. The party will take place on Thursday, September 22-nd and the palylist will be fully concentrated on Bruce's projects outside of IRON MAIDEN. Attendees will have the opportunity to win the latest Bruce Dickinson album - Tyranny of Souls, and the Anthology DVD compilation. The party starts at 21:00. Entrance free.
In our campaign with interviews with musicians and fans you can now find an interview with Gabriele Bernasconi – singer for the Italian tribute band The Clairvoyants . They visited Bulgaria in February 2010 and the second visit for Gabriele was in Stara Zagora for special show with Dennis Stratton on Aero Rock Starz Festival.
According to The Press Association, IRON MAIDEN frontman Bruce Dickinson will fly around 200 passengers from Newark, New Jersey to Reykjavik for budget airline Iceland Express in what will mark one of the first flights out of New York following Hurricane Irene.
The singer is a qualified pilot and recently-appointed marketing director with aircraft leasing firm Astraeus Airlines.
Bruce Dickinson will join JETHRO TULL frontman Ian Anderson and Justin Hayward of the MOODY BLUES on Saturday, December 10 for what is being billed as "Canterbury Rocks At Christmas" in the nave at the famed Canterbury Cathedral in Kent, England in support of The Canterbury Gift, which raises money for renovation work on the cathedral.
Last year Ian Anderson and friends performed a Christmas show with special guest Greg Lake, and it was a resounding success, and this year, Dickinson has been invited to perform along with Hayward.
The 900-year-old Canterbury Cathedral, which is said to be one of the most important sites in Britain's Christian heritage, remains in need of urgent repairs, particularly to its 235-foot-high central tower, known as Bell Harry tower, its medieval stained glass windows, and its 19th-century lead roof tiles. More than £10 million has been raised in recent years but another £3 million a year must be found over the next decade.
Reunited U.K. rockers WOLFSBANE — featuring former IRON MAIDEN frontman Blaze Bayley — have finished recording their new CD for a tentative early November release. The band states, "We have 13 tracks 'in the can' and will probably end up with 10 or 11 on the finished album."
Commenting on the reunion, Blaze said, "Although we have done other things over the years, we always had WOLFSBANE in our hearts and following our tour with THE QUIREBOYS last year, we had so much fun and have had so much interest that we decided to get back in the studio."
"See The Bodies", the first of two new tracks former IRON MAIDEN singer Paul Di'Anno co-wrote and recorded with the Greek band PRASSEIN ALOGA, can be streamed in the YouTube clip below. The track will appear on PRASSEIN ALOGA's new album, "Midas Touch", due later in the year.
Di'Anno in 2006 re-released his 2000 effort, "Nomad", with a few tracklist alterations, under the title "The Living Dead" (Cleopatra Records). The package came with a bonus DVD that contained the music video for "The Living Dead" and an exclusive in-depth, tell-all interview in which Di'Anno discussed his days with IRON MAIDEN.
Di'Anno upcoming tour will be his first since being jailed in March after he falsely collected U.K. government benefits by claiming he suffered nerve damage to his back that prevented him from working.
Di'Anno was sentenced to nine months for swindling £45,000 (approximately $72,000) in benefits. He was told he would serve at least four and a half months of the sentence behind bars before being released on conditional bail.
Di'Anno completed his first North American tour in early 2010, 17 years after he was deported following a prison term for guns and drug offenses
Stipe Juras, one of the founders of the Croatian IRON MAIDEN fan site and a long-time music journalist and writer, has announced plans to publish two new books — a book about MAIDEN guitarist Adrian Smith and a special book about the band's fans.
According to Juras, the Smith book will "surpass" his previously published book on IRON MAIDEN bassist Steve Harris and will be made available no earlier than on Smith's birthday in February 2012. Those who order the Smith book will get it in a personalized form, with their name printed on one of the first pages, just like the fan book.

IRON MAIDEN did not perform its classic song "The Trooper" during its headlining concert in Belfast, Northern Ireland on August 3. Although no official explanation was given by the group for its decision to omit the track from the setlist, MAIDEN fans are speculating that this is because the band's mascot, Eddie, has been an inspiration for several Irish loyalist paramilitaries who have used its image from "The Trooper" single on wall murals throughout the North of Ireland.
Back in 2003, MAIDEN's Irish fans erupted in fury when Dickinson provocatively waved two giant Union Jacks during the band's first concert in Ireland in almost 10 years.
In our campaign with interviews with musicians and fans you can now find an interview with Dennis Stratton. For those who are not familiar Dennis participated played on guitar the debut Iron Maiden album. Dennis did a brilliant show in Stara Zagoda on Aero Rock Starz festival. Coming soon also is an interview with Gabriele Bernasconi – The singer of the Italian tribute band The Clairvoyants.
IRON MAIDEN's April 8 and April 10 concerts in Buenos Aires, Argentina and Santiago, Chile, respectively, were filmed and recorded for a future DVD release.
In a interview with Chile's Futuro 88.9 FM, IRON MAIDEN bassist Steve Harris stated about the DVD,
"We will record two shows. We will use footage from both concerts for the DVD.
"We have amazing supporters in Chile and Argentina and we want to show more of the audiences from those parts of the world. We already filmed some footage there for the 'Flight 666' movie, but only one song per country was used. We will now have a chance to show much more of the crowds in Chile and Argentina.
"Wherever we go, we are always asked what the best audiences in the world are, and we always say that it is South America — Chile, Argentina and Sao Paulo, Brazil. Now we can show it."
When asked if the setlist for the Buenos Aires and Santiago concerts will be the same as the one the band has been playing on the current "Final Frontier World Tour", Harris said, "The setlist that we are playing is basically the same we have been playing on this tour, what you have been able to see on Internet. The sets that we will do in Chile and Argentina will be the same, but for these two special shows that will be recorded, we have prepared more songs and a bigger production. So what you will see in Chile will be a long and big show."
According to rumors the concerts were shot by 10 or 12 cameras and the production is done by Scot Mc Fadyen and Sam Dunn who made the documentary 'Flight 666'. Unfortunately there is still no official info by the band about this .
IRON MAIDEN frontman Bruce Dickinson received an honorary doctorate in music from Queen Mary university in London, England on Tuesday, July 19. He was presented by Professor David Baker of the Centre For Neuroscience And Trauma in honor of Dr. Dickinson's contribution to the music industry
Dickinson, 52, actually received a degree in history from the same college in 1979. His parents wanted him in the army, but he told them that he wanted to get a degree first. "That was what they wanted to hear so that was my cover story," he later said. "When I got down there, I started immediately finding and playing in bands."
Multi-talented Dr. Dickinson is not only a musician and song-writer, author, film script writer and TV broadcaster, also a champion fencer, entrepreneur and commercial airline pilot. In 2006, Dr. Dickinson flew 200 U.K. citizens home from Lebanon during the Israel-Hezbollah conflict in his converted Boeing 757.
Queen Mary is one of the U.K.'s leading research-focused universities, offering a broad range of degrees in humanities and social sciences; medicine and dentistry and science and engineering, with over 14,000 undergraduates, 2,000 postgraduate students and 3,000 staff.
If some people say the magic after the first Maiden album is gone – maybe they are right. Yesterday, however, Dennis Stratton brought the magic from the eponymous Maiden album to live for the Bulgarian fans. The perfect sound, perfect organization and the five legendary bands were only a small part of of the fantastically organized AERO ROCK STARZ. Coming soon on our site are report and pictures from the event, and later interview with Dennis Stratton and Gabriele Bernasconi (The Clairvoyants).
The cancellation of the Bulgarian SONISPHERE festival was a major disappointment for many fans. It is interesting that there are attempts of covering the inadequate behavior and incompetence of promoters behind disinformation aimed at passing along the blame to someone else. These actions culminate in the accusations towards the fans for “lack of festival culture”. Almost one month has passed since the moment when the dreams of many people to see their favorite bands in their own country were shattered. Quite soon everybody began to forgive and put everything aside. But we have not forgotten and do not want the things to remain this way. We want a meaningful explanation and the whole truth!
Three lucky winners who won tickets for AERO ROCK STARZ from our question tis week are:
