In 2026, we mark 40 years since the release of Somewhere in Time — Iron Maiden’s sixth studio album.

The most recognizable element in the sound of Somewhere in Time is the introduction of guitar synthesizers — a new color in Maiden’s palette that adds a futuristic atmosphere and emphasizes themes of time, travel, and alienation.

From the very first seconds of “Caught Somewhere in Time” to the epic finale with “Alexander the Great,” the album plays out like a science-fiction film told through two guitars, a galloping bass, and massive choruses.

Somewhere in Time proves the opposite and, four decades later, remains one of Iron Maiden’s most discussed and beloved albums — because of the risk, because of the atmosphere, because of songs that refuse to age. And perhaps most importantly — because it proves that when a band is at the top, it doesn’t have to repeat its formula. It can look… somewhere in time.

On March 14, the Bulgarian tribute band RAISING HELL will fire up the time machine by performing Somewhere in Time in its entirety live. To complete the atmosphere of the evening, the rest of the setlist will feature only sci-fi/fantasy-themed songs, specially selected from Iron Maiden’s entire discography.

The venue, as always, is Live & Loud club.
